Wall Painting Issues

The type and color of the paint you use on your walls will decide the general appeal of the room. Thus, choosing the paint you will use should be dealt with a fair deal of consideration and caution. When it comes to the application of the paint you have chosen, there are some possible painting problems you might encounter.

Encountering painting issues or problems does not necessarily have something to do with the kind of paint you choose or with your ability to apply paint on the wall’s surface. Usually, it has something to do with the condition of the wall. Bleeding, the most typical painting issue happens when there is already a stain on the wall. Some stains bleed through the paint, damaging its appearance and corroding its texture. Another issue is blistering. This occurs when you paint over a wall surface that is still wet. Thus, it is advisable never to paint a wet wall. Wrinkling of paint is another common paint issue. You may notice that the top coat of the paint begins to develop wrinkles which can be unpleasing to the eye. Wrinkling can be an effect of two possible reasons. Wrinkling can occur when you apply paint on the exterior walls of your home during a bright sunny day. The molecules of the paint may react to too much heat from the sunlight causing it to wrinkle. Another possible reason is the preposterous application of paint.

Although there are some painting issues that are hard to avoid, just like paint blistering on homes located in places where the climate is humid, they can still be avoided with proper consideration of the walls’ condition before the paint application.
